Jonah's Maiden Voyage

Today was Jonah's first dip in the pool. Thank god he responded more like his poppy and less like his father when he entered the water. Here's some pics and video:

Grandma Kent's visit

Jonah, Pat and I enjoyed a visit from "Grammy" this week.

Sporting some fancy new duds that grammy brought back from China!

Reading nursery rhymes with grammy. Jonah loves to look at the colorful pictures.

Addendum - Jonah 4 months old

Jonah had his 4-month doctors visit this afternoon. We weren't too far off in our estimates - he's 26 1/2 inches tall and 15.04 pounds! That puts him on the 93rd percentile for height (!!!!) and 55th for weight. His head circumference measured 17 1/4" which was the 90th percentile. Perhaps he will wear an XL ski helmet like his father someday. :-) The doctor thinks his eyes will stay blue since there are no flakes of other colors starting to show up, but we won't know that for sure for another few months. Other than that, Jonah looks great, has a "good disposition", and is right on target with his developmental milestones. Dr. Hanson also wrote Pat and I a prescription for date night 2x/month (really - see below!), so good thing we have babysitters flying out to visit over the next several weeks!

Jonah - 4 months old!

Another month has flown by. It's been a big month for Jonah - he discovered his hands and feet, started laughing, rolled over (tummy to back), and started grasping toys (which are now starting to end up in his mouth). Maybe he's teething? Remnants of the mohawk are still visible though a new head of surferboy blonde hair. Roughly, Jonah is 26 inches tall and about 15 pounds, but we'll find out for sure on Wednesday at his 4-month doctor's appointment. Jonah loves zerberts, bathtime, having conversations with mommy and daddy, studying (and sucking on) his fingers and toes, playing with toys that crinkle, jingle, and play music, and standing on the bathroom counter and talking to himself in the mirror (how cool is it that that baby in the mirror always talks back!).

Baby Blue Hen! Check me out in my University of Delaware gear!

Giggle giggle giggle! I love it when mommy and daddy make me laugh!
